I grew up in Los Angeles County, went to college in New England, and have now lived in Boston for over 40 years. I made calendars that sold at the Hirshhorn Museum store, among other outlets, from 1983 through the early 1990s. In 1999 I formed the William James Society and served as editor of its initial publication, "Streams of William James," through 2004. In 2012 I helped the Emerald Necklace Conservancy (ENC) with keeping their website updated. My other half, Parker James, co-founded The Charlesgate Alliance (CA) to advocate for better conditions in the beginning part of the Necklace in 2017. CA works closely with the ENC, our professional parks partner. I currently serve as Secretary-Treasurer for CA.
