Ana is a ten year old 5th grader that lives on the San Francisco Peninsula. She loves baking and tennis. She lives with her parents, older sister and dog Parker. The Cloaked Bear was written during the Covid 19 pandemic and illustrated by Ana’s Grandma Lee. Due to recommended physical distancing. Ana and Grandma were not able to interact over the summer of 2020 traditionally. Ana gave drafts of her story. Grandma sketched drawings with pencil and sent them to Ana over the weeks. Ana helps her sister’s charity donating facemasks to non-profit organizations. Book proceeds benefit their charity MaskforCauses.org.
