Über das Buch
I think that several factors have contributed to the development of the Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia, UNESCO; especially in the department of Quindío, starting with the kindness of the people, happy smiles everywhere and an average climate, favorable to coffee plantations and exuberant vegetation.
It began in the year 91 with two farms and 315 tourists a year, today there are more than a thousand rural lodgings and more than a million tourists. It is the largest rural offer concentrated in a single space in Latin America.
The person who most inspired me to come to Quindío was my late father General Armando Vanegas Maldonado, a lover of these lands who saw him succeed in his military career and in the Government of Caldas, this was an award that I share with my wife, Sara Vargas.
