Über das Buch
Written as a long-form letter on the occasion of his nephew's thirteenth birthday, *Sing It Like It Don't Hurt* is Douglas W. Milliken's very-personal exploration and interpretation of 20+ songs that have greatly influenced his life as a writer, an artist, and a human among humans. Composed in the hopes that this might kindle in another generation a similar passion for weird music, the book contains meditations on Lungfish, Open Mike Eagle, John Zorn, Joan of Arc, Busdriver, and Nina Simone, among others. Includes a downloadable mixtape of all songs discussed.
