Über das Buch
The Williams County Public Library is home to a great big ghost story. In a small town called Bryan, Ohio, paranormal investigators, the Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits, reported contacting the specter of the former librarian Emily Abernathy in 2014. She had been brutally murdered in the basement of that historic Carnegie building in 1946. The phantom of her killer James Robert Engle also appeared that night and tormented the group. In fact, he had just died a free man of old age only four years before the ghost hunters' appearance. The citizens of Bryan were mortified by the atrocity that went unsolved for a week until a Navy Veteran confessed to his mother. He was then arrested in connection with the crime. James Engle had just returned from military service after fighting on the beaches of Normandy in the Second World War.
