Mims Family History - 21st Century Updated is magazine that is filled with historical stories, events, profiles, and photos of the Mims Family from the Gib Mims and Catherine Harper King Mims Family bloodline. It is an updated version of the original Mims Family History Book written by the same author (Marcus N. Mims) in 2008. Starting with slavery, the author provides research information on events that took place while Gib and Catherine Mims and their children were slaves. After slavery ends, the author gives readers a sense of the life the family lived and covers events and stories about the children as they become adults and start their own families. The magazine also includes a resource list of over 80 Mims and other relatives' births, deaths, and marriages. It also includes the history of the King Mims Kemp Family Reunion and memorial tributes of some of the relatives of the families. The magazine also includes the Mims family tree chart, death certificates, and other items of interest that further tell the interesting story of the Mims Family History. As of this date, this is probably the most complete and accurate historical look at the Mims Family from the Gib and Catherine Mims bloodline.
