Über das Buch
This book contains 50+ prints, all created in 2021. It continues, and builds upon, themes and techniques explored in Vol 1. The images are inspired by landscapes (both real and fantastic), as well as natural processes that form our world.
Monotypes use printmaking processes that typically render only one (“mono”) print (“type”), as opposed to other techniques that are designed to create multiple prints that are essentially identical. This means each print is one-of-a-kind. I like to think of them as paintings that have been transferred onto paper.
This book contains no descriptions or statements, because I want the viewer’s interaction to be entirely with the images, and I decided to create every page using different monotype processes (which are not very conducive for large blocks of text).
