Über das Buch
Every small town has its stories. Here on Bainbridge Island, a ferry ride from Seattle, local authors offer up creative visions inspired by the people and places of this distinctive community.
The stories in this collection reflect broken dreams and lost love, family struggles, simple pleasures, secrets revealed, and truths shared—from the perspective of mothers, daughters, sons, lovers, and even goddesses. The island can be welcoming or hostile, a home that beckons a return or sends us fleeing, with the nature that surrounds us acting as a palpable force that can both soothe and threaten.
Any resemblance to actual Bainbridge Islanders is purely coincidental—and yet, likely inevitable.
