This is the second of two volumes documenting the authors' wanderings through central Japan for three weeks in October 2018. They are companions to John MacGregor's book, "Daigu Ryokan: A Pilgrimage," published in 2019, and cover the days of exploration not focused on the chronicle of Ryokan's life.
