The memoirs project of Philadelphia-based artist Arthur Deaville continues in Teenage Dream Catching, chronicling the turbulent adolescent years from 13 to 20, sifting through high school and the beginnings of college, documenting everything that constitutes significance for the journey of one such reclusive, queer, and deeply inquisitive kid navigating the hills and valleys of inter-personal excavation and discovery. Perhaps much of the day to day occurrences recounted herein seem perfectly ordinary, but the unique perspective offered may provide greater insight into better understanding and embracing those who sit apart from the rest of the class, always behind the social curve, struggling to fit into the box that has been pre-prescribed. This is a story of teenage daydreaming.
