Southern Seasons is a collection of short stories about women in conflict with traditional southern values. Originally written in 1990 as the culmination of her MSE: English thesis, Sharon Roberts drew from her experiences spending time in the south since childhood to create the works: “Heat,” “Contrasts,” “Walter’s Wife,” “Shade of Difference,” and “Sisters.”
