Über das Buch
A collection of images drawn from traditionally made medium and large format black and white negatives. There is a range of emphasis from the large scale to the minutely observed within the context of the urban landscape, the seascape and the still life study. I hope to demonstrate that film and traditional cameras still have a vital part to play in the image creation process and offer a different photographic "experience" to that enjoyed in the digital medium.

I have been connected with photography in some way since I bought my first SLR film camera around 1976. That includes working in an old fashioned camera store, working in a professional processing lab or actively collecting and trading classic equipment as I have done for the last 10 years. I had not realised what a constant my photography has been in my life until I came to start putting images together for the book "So Far, So Little, So Long". Many things have come and gone in the last thirty or so years but the habits of the photographer have stayed with me all this time.
