Über das Buch
Discover a new meaning to a familiar sight. The photographs of the night sky in this book are an experiment with the accumulation of time and light. Whilst most photography represents a snapshot of a moment in time, the photographs from this project are studies of periods of time.
The time it took to expose each photograph, from ten seconds to over an hour, is viewable in an instant yet remains contained in its entirety within the photographs.
The long exposure photographs create a new reality in which time does not vanish but can be collected.
This is the first time that the artist has published a book from this body of work.
26 photographs with an introduction by the artist.

Über den Autor
Wolf Kettler is a visual artist using photography as his medium. His work investigates the perception of reality and expresses the issues in a visual language. His sole current project concentrates on the garden. It investigates how relinquishing the notion of control can be at the centre of an artist's work. The garden utilises the wabi sabi principles of embracing the natural, the imperfect and the impermanent. Wolf's work has been published and exhibited internationally and featured on radio and national television.
