Celebrated Canadian Visual Artist known for her unconventional take on Canada. Brandy Saturley has been making art for over 30 years. Saturley gained national recognition with her paintings of Canadiana including; goalie masks, Canadian athletes, the Canadian flag, the Montreal Canadiens, Alberta Rockies and wildlife. Inspired by Canadian popular culture, iconography and sport. Featuring portraits and figurative landscapes of Canada. From hockey to poppies and maple leaves to Lake Louise. The “Canadianisms” series has toured Canada-wide, and has garnered the Canadian artist notoriety as the voice of Canadian Pop Art. “Saturley’s paintings not only have a sense of humour, but also reference famous works of art.
