"The Nine" is a crime story in the old school tradition. A 25-year-old cold case unearthed in the basement of a Catholic school, with a police captain; two detectives, one fresh from medical leave and one rookie; a young forensic scientist; and a blind priest who was brought back home to help in the dissolution of church property - all attempting to solve it.
