Über das Buch
In her 20ties Astrid lived in Hamburg and had to pass the area around the central station It was unavoidable she always had to pass through a whole crowd of addicts and dealers.
She was offered anything one can think of, and she also saw close-up what these drugs do to people. She had to pass this space several times a week und more and more lost her fear. Gradually she could walk through the crowd slower looking into the faces of the people there. What she saw was so much pain and suffering and a deep sense of being completely lost.
She saw so clearly lost souls, fallen angels.
She realised that she so easily could have ended up here too, been one of them. She was just lucky she hadn’t.
These observations and reflections did not leave her, so she had to start working around this, to process this, creating these two installations: Fallen Angel
