When I photographed my pitbull, Jack, enjoying peanut butter, it sparked what would be year-long journey of love and laughter. What began as a playful studio session turned into a portrait project to raise funds for animal rescue and challenge misconceptions about pitbulls.

The nearly 400 photos in these pages capture months of photographing dogs, editing countless images, and several jars of peanut butter. Each featured dog is a cherished companion, showcasing pitbulls as loyal, loving pets. Shelter dogs are also included, some of whom found homes after too long waits due to breed stereotypes.

Through humor and heart, these portraits aim to change perceptions and support rescue efforts—one lick at a time. This book is dedicated to all the companion animals we have loved. Their paw prints are forever imprinted on our hearts.
