Über das Buch
The idea seemed simple enough: bike the length of Japan and live as sustainably as possible. And in actuality, it DID prove to be that simple.
We biked more than 4000 km. We tried our best to eat locally, to buy non-packaged goods. And most importantly, we tried our best to stay friends.
Throughout the adventure we were able to see, smell, listen to and feel, the diversity of Japan's beautiful landscape. We met, shared with and enjoyed the hospitality of incredible people. We experienced the highs and lows of living with the same people 24 hours a day, seven days a week (yes, even on rest days we still hung out together!) for 66 days straight. We started the trip rolling our eyes whenever we were told that this trip would change our lives, and yet by the end, we unmistakably were... changed.
BEE Japan 2008 officially came to an end (or did it?) when we reached the unassuming wooden sign at Sata Misaki.
But with community, love, peace, we will always be, be, be, be, BEE Japan!
