Über das Buch
In January of 2009, Jes Coyle and fiancé Jesse Fitzpatrick traveled to Malawi to spend a year volunteering at Gracious Private Secondary School, a high school affiliated with an orphan support NGO called The Malawi Children’s Village.
To communicate with friends and family, Jes wrote a series blog posts about the experience of teaching and living in Malawi. Gradually morphing from informative to reflective as the year passed, these writings provide a glimpse of what it is like to live as a foreigner in one of the poorest areas in the world.
This book pairs Jes’s stories with her photographs in hopes of creating a picture of one year in Malawi.
