Über das Buch
Author of The X-List, Candice Angelus Disrobes the Truth Behind the Types of Men Women Love and Hate to Date.
With an eloquent mix of style, humor and sarcasm, author of The X-List – A Non-Fiction-ish Dating Guide for Single Women, Candice Angelus has unraveled the truth behind the types of men women date and the dirty little tricks they have tucked not-so-neatly under their sleeve.
“Writing this book had been therapeutic in the sense that it has allowed me to relive the personal excursion I had embarked upon to find The One,” reveals Angelus. “From one dating disaster after another, I was able to simplify the types of men women tend to date into one of seven-ish categories. I think this book will help other young women identify men’s red flags and warning signs sooner and be able to put them on the fast track to finding Mr. Right.”
The X-List takes a realistic look at the types of men women are attracted to and goes a bit further by classifying them into one of seven-ish categories. Stemming from her online dating profile, Angelus has been able to expand upon each classification with an in-depth sketch of what every reader wants and should know. From the “Mr. Control Freak” in chapter 1 to the “Mr. Just Plain Weird Guy” in chapter 4, Angelus is able to lightheartedly set the stage for each guy’s Oscar-winning performance. Chapters one through seven are devoted to the particular type’s persona, complete with a list of their favorite hot spots, hang out locations, ammo used to reel women in, favorite songs often found on repeat and concludes with a personal story from Angelus.
Although The X-List focuses primarily on these seven-ish stereotypes of men, she doesn’t ignore the other half of the journey – the reader. This book takes a revealing, and sometimes not-so-glamorous inspection of who these women were to attract these types of men, offers her readers a perception of who they should be now and ultimately clinches with the fairytale ending every woman dreams of – the “happily ever after with their match made in heaven.”
