Über das Buch
'tHe sNaiL' was the first book davidt dunlop ever created at around the age of 16 - 18. It was never intended to be published as everything he had made at that time were single unit, unique art pieces.
The book focuses on the experiences of a snail as it travels through different terrains and meets other creatures. Fluctuating from narration to contemplation, the snail invites us into his/her hermaphrodite world, full of sexual confusion, shyness and loneliness.
Using a variety of photographic techniques such as scanning insects, sticks and muck through to delicate pin-hole camera shots taken at a snail's eye view, 'tHe sNaiL' is a visual, poetic and thoughtful look into the life of a neurotic gastropod.
