Über das Buch
This book shows the wide range of subjects that continue to attract me, though doubtless others would make a different selection from the still growing total. Many of the pictures seen within number among my most frequently exhibited images, including those in From Seeing to Showing*.
Visitors to my exhibitions often ask “is that a painting?“ pointing to one of the pictures. Others need no convincing; they actually do see it as a painting. But this is never my intention, but if this is a result of the way I see a motif, then so be it. But just how did I see it that way – intuitively, perhaps? It's difficult to explain...
