Über das Buch
"One Way of Seeing" contains 17 essays about a lifetime of living with a camera and over a hundred of the author's photographs.
The book addresses such issues as forgiving the photographer for transgressing, kissing the photograph and love, the blurred obituary photograph, and why we carry cameras even when we don't use them.
The photographs are evocative, emotionally engaging and attentive to the potential meaning of form.
Don Rothman taught writing for 34 years at the University of California, Santa Cruz and directed the Central California Writing Project for almost three decades. He is currently on the Shakespeare Santa Cruz Advisory Board.
