Ever since photojournalist Phil Grout was a boy in rural Ohio exploring his uncle's woods, he's been fascinated with fall. Phil and his dog, Fred, recently found an unusual red, saw-toothed leaf which was partially chewed. The discovery prompted Phil to ask, "Plump caterpillar with scarlet crumbs about your mouth, if I acquired your taste for fall, would I love it more?"



The book is collection of favorite fall images Phil has made over the years which artfully enhance the whole mystery of autumn.
