Photographs in the book were taken in our garden, in the small rural town of Lavonia, Ga. The book was developed to not only highlight the beautiful flowers we grew, but to express how my time in the Garden with God, following Kenneth's severe stroke in 2004, helped heal my soul while Kenneth was healing in rehabilitation.



This book has been purchased and used as gifts to those in the hospital, those who may be having personal problems, etc. - and, it has been purchased by those who just enjoy beautiful gardens!

Dr. Hulsey was born and reared in Lavonia, Georgia. She married her high school sweetheart Kenneth Hulsey in 1963. She earned her doctorate from the University of Georgia and spent 30 years in the field of Technical Education. Since retiring from her positon as a Technical College President, they have returned to their hometown of Lavonia. Dr. Hulsey is active in community volunteer work and in her spare time she enjoys photography and gardening. She says, "Publishing books on Blurb.com is fun and it's exciting to see your photographs published even if they are of amateur status. " My books are books of love - for people, my community, and my family.
