The Darien Expeditions sponsored by the United States goverment during 1870-1871, were the first serious attemps to ascertain the feasibility of an interoceanic canal through the Darien region.



The selection of photographs, illustrations and other sources of information, has been gathered for those who desire historical knowlege on Panama's interoceanic route and the region of Darien.



All book sales will be donated to Panama Rotary Club and funds will be used for communitary projects in Panama.
