Über das Buch
At about 2 A.M. Dr. Steve Slosnerick suddenly awoke, strapped to a hospital bed and all alone, aching all over, and clueless as to why he was there and why Jennie had disappeared. His screams for help brought the nurse, and as she quickly administered a sedative he learned that Jennie was still unconscious from their accident and would soon be flown to Denver. As he drifted off to an unwanted sleep Steve did not know that he would leave the hospital a few days later only to spend the next two months desperately searching to find the answers that would bring Jennie back from her deepening coma and free them both from the webs of confusion and uncertainty that had set them adrift on the ocean of a half known life, exiled from their one insular Tahiti.
