Through my love to classical music I got acquainted with the fabulous Mahler Chamber Orchestra. And by permanently following the traces of the musicians on their tours I easily found the way to Ferrara, this very charming medieval city in Northern Italy. The book presents my photographic impressions from several visits in the years 2007-2010.

As a former scientist in physics I worked in aeronautical industries until my retirement. Photography in black and white has been one of my main interests since many years. From 1990 through 2007 I worked with large format field cameras up to 8x10". In 2009 I closed down my darkroom and turned over to digital camera technique.
