Über das Buch
To the uninitiated, it seems as though nothing could survive on northern Russia's forbidding Kola Peninsula. The remote Sami village of Lovozero, however, thrives under the harshest of conditions. In a changing world, the time-honoured practices of reindeer husbandry and traditional agriculture give this spellbinding settlement a unique character.
