Ruthie has a background in architecture, knitwear and jewellery design. In 1995 she attained a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in Printing & in 2003 an MA in Art & Media Practice. She receives commissions for portraits, specializing in monochrome images. She has crafted House Books for clients, many of whom had outstanding or unusual homes. These books were originally printed in her darkroom in black and white, but later produced digitally and in colour. More recently her travel books have become a passion.
