Über den Autor
Danish-American photographer, David Levy was born in Landsthul, Germany in 1962. He received his first camera at the age of 10 and immediately fell in love with the medium. Since his childhood he has been exploring and experimenting with a variety of media including painting, drawing, woodworking and sculpture. Recent work includes experimental video and 16mm film. He studied Art History and Communications at the University of California, Irvine. His professional career includes a number of curatorial and gallery director positions for public and private organizations. He has also taught photography at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art and the University of Oregon in addition to private workshops. He currently lives in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he owns Red Door, an alternative exhibition and studio space. (www.reddoor.ch) "On the Road with Diana and Holga" is an exploration of love, loss, and desire viewed as a visual narrative produced using vintage toy cameras.
