Über das Buch
Revised 2-19-2012
Contained in these pages is a rare account of a visit to the birthplace of San Soo Kung Fu (Sanshou Gongfu) in China. Herein you will find the story of my visit to the home of San Soo Grandmaster, Chin Siu Dek Jimmy H. Woo. During my trip I visited with his relatives and friends, paid respect to the ancestral home of the Chin family, met with the owner of the direct lineage San Soo school in Taicheng still in operation today, and visited several other important locations in the area. Accompanied by over 50 photographs with translations and explanations of Chinese terms, this book will both reinforce some of the reader's ideas about San Soo and may challenge existing notions many of us practitioners have held for decades.
It is appropriate reading for all students of San Soo, those interested in Chinese martial arts in general, historians interested in the background and lineage of this particular art, and people with a general interest in China. Please see the preview for a closer look. Enjoy.
