Über den Autor
Nick DeCarlis is an avid collector and restorer of vintage cornets, with a special emphasis on pocket instruments. He also designs and constructs pocket “conversions” of pre-existing conventional cornets. A professional jazz musician, he prefers “American Songbook Standards,” and plays a 1930 F.E. Olds “Standard” Hammerbell cornet—occasionally switching to one of his many pockets for fun. His “day gig” is owner/operator of DECA Design, Inc., a graphic design firm specializing in corporate print communications, primarily for the medical device industry, based in Gainesville, Florida.
