Über das Buch
An accompaniment to my exhibition of the same name which took place at the Zig Zag art gallery in Kalamunda, Western Australia during March 2013.
The exhibition featured paintings that were completed during and after my six week residency at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in the north-west of the Republic of Ireland. All the scenes depicted in the exhibition were within walking distance from where I was located. The rugged and frequently stormy Irish landscape provided me with an array of dramatic subjects, with the interaction between the sky, land and sea becoming the focus of the series.
The book contains a short introduction to the work and high quality reproductions of all of the paintings exhibited in the show.

Über den Autor
Kieran Ingram
Bollington, UK
I am an Australian artist based in the UK. Still life is the primary focus of my work as I love the control over composition and attention to detail afforded by this type of painting. The relationship between specific objects is of particular interest to me, especially when elements that seem incongruous can be made to complement each other in surprising ways. Literature, natural history, archaeology and anthropology are common subjects explored through my work.
