Über das Buch
The Masai Mara National Reserve, located in SW Kenya may be the best location in the world for viewing and photographing animal life.
Some of the best photographic opportunities occur at the time of the great migration which sees over a million wildebeest and large numbers of zebras move north from the Serengeti Plains, in Tanzania, to the green pastures of the Masai Mara whose entire life cycle revolves around this event. All the photos presented here were gleaned on trips taken during the peak and towards the end of that exciting period. Exciting for the grazers, equally exciting for the predators, even more so for the shooters... of pictures. An amazing cast of characters on a grand stage.

Über den Autor
A native of Dunkirk, Northern France, Claude Wegscheider has spent most of his career overseas. After a teaching assistantship in an American university in the 70s, he spent eight years with the French Cultural Mission in Casablanca, Morocco, where he developed his interest for photography within local Photo-Clubs. He later became the Executive Director of Alliance Française in Atlanta, USA and New Delhi, India. In 1990, he established his residence in the United States. His long-time passion for wide open spaces and a predilection for deserts have led him to travel to every continent - except Antarctica (so far, anyway) - and the Arctic. An eclectic photographer, he switches between landscape, architectural, animal and macro photography.
