Über das Buch
The book asks all the big questions and provides answers with compassion and emotional wit: what the world looks like; how it works; what the world promises; and how that promise gets fulfilled. It’s a story-essay wrapped in a poetic guise through which the author reaches for a bit of insight into the character of reality alongside the anticipation of birth.

Über den Autor
Dale McNutt grew up in Western Pennsylvania and recently resided in Uptown--a transitional urban neighborhood perched on the Bluff--high above the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He lived and worked with his wife Jeanne, former director of community redevelopment group, Uptown Partners of Pittsburgh. They surrounded themselves with 100-plus youthful change-makers; journalists, designers, entrepreneurs, maker-fabricators, and those who simply co-work--in a 13,000-sf. renovated site that was both studio and home. One of six neighborhoods of Pittsburgh’s Greater Hill District; gunshot was not uncommon at 3:00am across 5th Avenue on DeRaud Street when they took up residence in 2007. “I didn’t expect to become a visual artist and a graphic designer; my childhood passion was baseball. These ball men had play at heart and looked as close to heroes as one might find in mid-1950’s culture. In 2020, at the age of 72, I desired more answers—writing was the path forward.
