This is the true story of Billy McConnell's stand against the IRA in Tipperary between 1916 and 1923 when the IRA tried to murder the entire McConnell family because Billy would not co-operate with them. There are some original threatening notes from the IRA to Billy shown in the book along with original photographs and documents. It is written by his grandson.

Born in Belfast Northern Ireland in 1937. Creative Advertising career of 16 years followed by Art Teaching career of 19 years. Full time artist since 1989 including 7 years painting full time in Ireland during which time was voted a full member of the Artist Association of Ireland, and won an Ireland wide competition to create a painting in memory of an executive killed in New York on September 11th. Paintings are in private and corporate collections in many countries around the world. John McConnell now lives close to the town of Sidney on Vancouver Island BC Canada.
