Chasing Northern Lights: Iceland
Iceland in February is probably not everyone's idea of the perfect trip!
Even though the climate is much milder than you might expect, the average February temperature can still be expected to range between -3 to 3 Celsius... alongside around 7 hours of daylight in total - including twilight and dawn.
In this context, the coldest day we experienced was -8C...which, with wind chill, was estimated to be equivalent to -20C!
Not only that, ability to move around a see the sights is very limited as many roads are impassable!
