Colchester’s Sitting Room was led by Associate Artist Elaine Tribley. Elaine initiated a series of pop-up events that explored the social spaces within firstsite’s building. She identified and collaborated with artists across the region as an ‘experimental’ form of artist professional development and support, as well as involving a range of staff across firstsite’s teams. The pop-ups were co-curated with specialists such as hair stylists in Enchanted Up-Dos and a florist in Thinking Outside the Vase.
