I received my Great Grandmother Alices' recipe box after the passing of my Great Grandpa Roy in 2000. Every once in awhile I would look at it. But it wasn't until after I graduated Culinary school, with a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, that I finally sat down and looked through it. I decided that for my Christmas present to my family, that I would go through her recipe box and recreate these recipes with the knowledge I learned from Culinary school. Some recipes needed to be expanded on and some were great the way they were. This book is a tribute to my Great Grandma Alice and Grandma Jan who taught me all about cooking.
