Proto-type is based in the UK and we make original theatre and media work that tours internationally. Our recent pieces, The Good, the God and the Guillotine, Virtuoso (working title), Whisper, and Third Person: Bonnie and Clyde Redux toured throughout the UK and internationally. Our work has been hailed as “an immensely satisfying piece of culture history”, as “an exhilarating theatrical experience”, and as “an intriguing brush with altered reality... poetic. And the production flirts with the feel of a supernatural, psychological thriller.” We create touring theatre/live art/media, conduct workshops and summer schools, and run networking events to create a stronger contemporary performance sector in the UK as well as supporting the development of new talent through our mentorship scheme. Fortnight, our highly renowned distributed narrative project, has had 5 successful outings to Bristol, Lancaster, Manchester, Oxford and Coventry. And there will be more... Watch this space!
