Über das Buch
According to the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. website, the Min Pin's popularity began to grow in Germany around the end of the 1800's. Popular in that country between 1905 to 1914, they were relatively unknown outside of Germany. Breeding began outside of the country after 1918 and imported into the US around 1919. First registered with the AKC in 1925 under the breed name Pinscher, there were few Min Pins seen at dog shows in the US. In 1929, the Miniature Pinscher Club of America was established and the Min Pin was shown in the Terrier Group. It was reclassified as a Toy breed under the name Pinscher (Miniature) in 1930 and the official name was changed to Miniature Pinscher in 1972.
I have looked but cannot find where a Min Pin has won a national or international dog show ever. On 13 February 2008, Uno became the first beagle to win best in show at the Westminster Kennel Club in its 100 year history. With that said, it'll probably be another 100 years before you see a Min Pin win a best in show title at any dog show and you have to wonder why. The one thing Min Pins do have is PERSONALITY!
