Über das Buch
A collection of WWI photographs by photographer J. Patras of Paris, France. Images show the ravages of war in the Champagne-Ardennes region of France, namely the towns of Villedommange, Sacy, Flanders, and Reims.
This particular collection was brought home by a returning veteran of the war, Hannibal Ellis Potter. Potter was involved in the U.S. cavalry and completed two tours of duty even after being severely wounded at the controls of a tank.
The images have been gently restored and sharpened, but are presented here in truly original form.
