Having never canoed The Spanish we had few expectations other than a 'nice' paddle on a 'pretty' river. What we experienced was a spectacular northern landscape and a place of great spiritual power. The Spanish in October is ablaze with golden colour. There are no bugs and there are no people. We have this remarkable landscape all to ourselves.
