This photobook records some of the aircraft seen during an extensive tour of Japan to the airfields of Iwakuni, Metaburu, Naha, Tsuiki and Nytuburu as a guest of the Japanese Self Defence Forces in December 2008.
Over a 170 flight line photographs of aircraft and their crews including close-up, internal and night shots. Most spectacular are the water landings and take-offs of the incredible US-1 amphibians.
Among the aircraft featured are: F-4's, F-15's, T-4's, C-130, P-3's, UH-60's, OH-1's, OH-6's, F-2A's, RF-4C, AH-1's, E-2, UH-125's, US-1's, LR-2, UH-1's, T-7, U-36's, MH-53's, CHC-101's, C-1's and the T-4's of the Blue Impulse aerobatic team.
