Über das Buch
The Jurassic Coast - England's first natural World Heritage Site - is 95 miles of beautiful coastline on the south coast of Dorset and East Devon. Granted a World Heritage status alongside other global areas of outstanding natural beauty which includes the Grand Canyon and the Great Barrier Reef.
It is a 'walk through time' spanning 185 million years of geological history. It covers the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, all visible in the rocks and strata that stretch from Old Harry's Rocks in the east to Orcombe Point in the west
Russell Dawson spent a year visiting and capturing this beauty with a camera. His black & white images bring out the stunning array of environments and landscapes, rocks and habitations, form and detail, the intrusion of man and the reclaiming of nature, to bring alive the spirit which breathes along this ever changing stretch of coastline.
