Über das Buch
If you love dogs and you love Rome, this is the book for you. During my trips to Rome, Italy it turned out that I talked many people into posing with their dogs while also taking individual pictures of the dogs themselves (see "The Doggie Book"). I thought it would be a good idea to put these "people with their dogs" photos together in a book since many are amusing and also show what different parts of Rome look like without being the standard travel picture.

Everyone seemed to enjoy having their picture taken to show off their dogs and some owners (and some of the dogs) hammed it up a bit for the camera.

I have been taking photographs semi-professionally for about 15 years and have been exhibiting in juried art exhibitions over that time period. Most of my photographs have been taken in Italy and Sweden. The urban setting is at the heart of my photography and the street is the set for the stories I try to portray. The city provides the opportunity to photograph people with their pets, people at work or people just out in that environment doing whatever they do. The city at night allows me to experiment with available light and to show another aspect of vision which may not be in the realm of seeing with the human eye. There we have the chance to record all aspects of human life and human influence on our environment.
