Über das Buch
Since our immersive Artists in Residence in the Grafton region during September 2013, we have reflected on our work in, and the stories of, this place. We came to know the powerful presence of the river, along with the rhythms of the human experience living within this environment.
In our Nocturne projects, such as Grafton, we document spaces that we experience as evocative or uncanny in the dusk light. When sharing these images with the community we often discover these places have local stories that are imbued with layers of colonial history and those of everyday life.
The title of our book, Revir, references the idiosyncratic naming of some Grafton businesses where the word is spelled backwards.
This book is our story of Grafton.
