In this book you can find motor-racing pictures that the author took in 2015; the 38th consecutive year that he followed the sport and 35 years after he first started taking pictures at motor-racing events (1981).
All the pictures in this book were made behind the 'fences' that prevent the everyday photographer from taking that very special picture from spots that professional photographers have access to through their passes and accreditation. I mostly used a Canon EON550D, with a Sigma 80-400mm lens.
The pictures were taken on April 30th, May 1st and 2nd (WEC; LMP1, LMP2, LMGTE Pro, LMGTE AM, and, Porsche Cup UK), August 21st and 22nd (Formula 1, GP2, GP3), August 29th and 30th (WEC; LMP1, LMP2, LMGTE Pro, LMGTE AM), and, September 13th (World Series by Renault 3.5, 2.0 and R.S. 01) of 2015 at the circuits of Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, and Nürburgring, Germany.
It was already his 27th visit to the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, but the very first ones to the Nürburgring. Although situated only a two hours drive away from his hometown, he had never made the trip to the Ring before. A free weekend ticket that was his price in an online quiz at Autosport.nl was the reason
that he finally made the 170 kilometer trip to the Nürburgring; and two weeks later he went again; to see the World Series by Renault!
