Über das Buch
I didn't know what to expect.
Upon arrival to the Holiday Inn hotel in Kansas City , MO I saw an elaborate blond hair-do in the other end of the lobby, and I was assuming that a cheer-leaders group was staying at the hotel.
As I approached the subject, I realized that she was a transgender (male to female).
A few minutes later, another transgender entered the hotel lobby, and as it turned out, I stumbled upon a transgender conference.
I realized that this was an amazing and rare opportunity to explore that spectrum of the society, especially in a region that is not so tolerant . The conference participants were very open to me accompanying them in their different affairs, and I am very thankful to them, especially since they allowed me to portray them as they are, without any photo retouching.
This book is a compilation of images I took that weekend, and is a celebration for the human spirit.
It comes as an edition of just 150 copies.
Please, watch the preview that show a portion of the images.
